Tails and Cosmo: Underwater Love

    One summer day, after Cosmo's return by surprise to both of us, we both decided we'd go to the lake near my house for a while. This trip was one I'll never forget for as long as I live.

    Anyways; that afternoon, I had finished tinkering with the X-Tornado, when Cosmo came into the garage where I was.

    "Hi, Tails." She said, and I looked at her, and she had a smile on her face, as usual.

    "Hi, Cosmo. how are you doing?" I asked, as usual.

    "I'm okay. But I'm a little bored and I've kinda run out of things to do." She replied to me.

    "Actually, since I'm now done with the X-Tornado, here, I'm kinda lost, too. how about we go to the lake near my house?" I then offered her.

    "Sounds good to me, come to think of it." Cosmo replied, not immediately, though.

    I then jumped down from my stool and easily landed on my feet.

    "Wanna go now?" I then asked.

    "If you want to, we can." Cosmo replied.

    "Okay, let's go." I then said, and Cosmo then got hold of my hand. It was warm, as usual, and I gripped on it almost instantly.

    We didn't talk too much on our short walk to the lake.

    When we got there, sparks slowly began to fly. There's no shore at the lake. It's like a hole filled with water, not like any beach.

    Cosmo and I only stood there, at the edge of the grass, only inches from the lake, holding hands. Her hands were very warm and comfortable for mine.

    "I really like this lake, Tails. It's so beautiful." Cosmo then commented.

    "That's what I said when I first laid eyes on it when I was a younger boy." I replied.

    "I don't blame you, Tails." Cosmo said.

    "I knew you'd say that." I replied back. She giggled. I then giggled with her.

    Our hands gripped, and then, we both turned to each other and looked at each other. Cosmo's bold blue eyes were shining into mine, and she looked a little nervous.

    "What's wrong, Cosmo?" I then asked. She didn't answer me.

    We both then slowly inched a little closer to each other's faces, and then, I knew what was going to happen.

    I said nothing.

    But all of a sudden, birds sped right above our heads, making us duck, but it also made Cosmo lose her balance.

    "Tails!" She yelled, "I'm falling!"

    I then looked at her, and she was seemingly going to fall into the lake. I then grabbed her hand to try to pull her back into balance, but she instead pulled me with her, right into the lake.

    We were only under for a few seconds when we swam back up to the surface. Cosmo gasped for air, but I had no need to. I then reached for her and held her in my arms.

    "You okay, Cosmo?" I then asked as I kicked in the water, keeping us both above water.

    "I'm fine, Tails, thank you." She replied back, holding me close.

    That's when sparks began to fly, as Cosmo and I took one good long look at each other. My heart was now beginning to pump like crazy, in somewhat nervousness. As we stared at each other, I suddenly stopped kicking my feet, causing both of us to go underwater.

    As we sank in, we both took a deep breath, and then we were completely submerged. We sank, completely to the muddy floor of the lake. Only my feet touched the floor, though, and I held Cosmo. We only looked at each other for a few seconds, when I started getting emotional inside. Why? Because of her wonderful natural beauty, and her glowing blue eyes. I then smiled at her, and she immediately smiled back.

    Next thing I knew, we were now kissing. Her warms hands were on my cheeks, and my hands were on hers. My eyes were slightly open to confirm my belief into this action. Cosmo's lips were so warm, at the gentle touch against mine.

    "This is better than I ever dreamed!" I thought happily.

    We stayed in that position, underwater, kissing, for another moment, and then, I jumped off the floor and I swam both of us to the surface. Just before we reached the surface, we separated our lips, even though I didn't really want to.

    When we did surface, we both kind of gasped, and I still held her in my arms. We still laid eyes on each other, and we both had smiles.

    I then knew I was ready to say what I had always wanted to say to Cosmo.

    With my hands still on Cosmo's cheeks and hers on mine, I calmly said, in a sweet tone, "I love you, Cosmo, more than life itself."

    "I love you, too, Tails. You mean so much to me." Cosmo replied to me as we inched back closer to each other. I then stopped kicking my feet again on purpose, this time, and we went back underwater. We still held each other's cheeks, and then, it happened again.

    We were kissing again, right in the middle of the lake, under the surface. I never touched the ground, but we stayed in that position. My eyes were closed, and we held each other tight as we kissed underwater.

    From there, I knew we were in deep, passionate love, as Cosmo and I kissed underwater.

    After another moment, we separated lips, and I swam us back to the surface, and then, we both decided we'd get out of the lake. I helped Cosmo climb up to the grass and I then pushed myself up.

    I then found Cosmo sitting in the grass, looking at me in a lovesick manner. 

    "That was dreamy, Tails." She then said, smiling.

    "Same here, Cosmo." I replied. I then crawled to her and I held her hands.

    "I love you, Cosmo. So much." I then repeated myself.

    Cosmo said nothing. She took action instead. Her hands went back onto my cheeks, and we kissed a third and final time for now. My hands then grabbed her arms, and we held each other in, as we kissed passionately.
